Little underpaper journals

This was a project for decluttering carla style. I had a big role and pile of underpaper. For those who don't know what that is: Underpaper is paper you have lying on your workspace and where you work on. A lot of people work on craftsheets or other surfaces. I always have paper which ends up colored / stamped / with notes / with small piece washitape or whatever I am using.

And I have collected a lot of these papers over the past years and it was time to do something with it.

I glued pages together (sometimes with an extra old paper layer between them) to make them stronger. Cut them to a small size of 13 by 26 or 15 by 30 cm. And folded these in halve and used 4 pages for a folder.

I then sewed little books of these with a cover of canvas and a small elastic closure.

I made one larger and four smaller of these little journals. Of course every page is different but by using these journals you will never have a fear for the blank page. And it is a great surface for any kind of journaling, you could even start  by making a page white again with gesso

In this simple one handed phone movie I give you a view inside one of the journals.

Hope you are inspired by this little movie. Until next time.
