Workshop mix of Book of Days and Lifebook 2014

I am falling a little behind with posting so this very long post will be about lessons for Book of Days 2014 session 2 from Effy Wild and Lifebook 2014 from Willowing and a little of playing with home made paper

First my new pages for Book of Days
The first week was making a manifesto and using a picture of yourself
I was feeling nostalgic, wanting to go back to the days were I did not have a filled brain with lots of clutter
My brain has always been like a supercomputer with lots of terrabytes, just storing and storing even all the negative things and without a good litter bin
I found a quote by Christian D. Larson and used an old childhood picture of myself for this page

For the second week Effy was inspired by the song True Colors that Tamara Laporte and Gracie Howle sang there version of for a water project
You can still donate for this project and also get a free art class from Tamara, just follow the link

This week I almost copied Effy’s example
It was all about colors and I liked mine so much that I did not want to cover the background up to much
I just used a little zinc white acrylic paint to make the background a little bit whiter

I also finished a few lessons of Lifebook 2014
Some of them I just forgot to share with you

Week 15 Quirky Animals with Tamara Laporte

If you remember the quirky birds from last year

you will notice that I made this page entirely different
This was made on a large folded page

Glued mine to a bigger page and made a front
This is the front page

And this is the open page with my quirky animals
This is all acrylic paint and some markers
Here are my quirky animals
A lion (my zodiac sign), a sheep (my inner critic a bleating sheep), an owl (for my big brain where I am sure there is also wisdom in between the clutter), an ant (for my always being busy) and a dog (that is my sign according to the chinese zodiac)

Week 16 In the Moment with Traci Bautista
A really playfull lesson

Week 19 Honouring you inner world with Danielle Daniel

Really should spend more time in this position and be in the moment to quiet my head

Week 20 Honouring your inner world with Serena Bridgeman

A page with dylusions background, a buddha head and a lotus flower
Started with the background en make the flower and then the head
Not in a head mood and suddenly I remembered that I must have a drawn head somewhere
I looked it up and it was the right size for this page
A Buddha head I made with colored pencil in septermber 2009
( do not get confused by the date, this is the dutch way of writing a date, day-month-year)

I cut out the head and glued it together with the lotus to my background and this is the result

And the last lifebook lesson for this blogpost
Week 21 Wonderful words with Jennibellie

Had a lot of fun playing as a child with the background and the flowers
A real playful page with a grumpy face 🙂

That is all for now 🙂
